Български учени в чужбина излязоха с отворено писмо в подкрепа на антиправителствените демонстрации у нас. Става дума за над 70 академици, част от научната общност в 12 държави по цялото земно кълбо. В писмото заявяват своето безпокойство от съпротивата срещу реформите в съдебната система.
Писмото е подписано от 73 български учени от около 60 университета в 12 държави по света. Сред тях са академици, живеещи в Германия, САЩ, Великобритания, Белгия, Австралия, Швейцария и др.
"Изразяваме подкрепа на протестите в България и исканията им за независима съдебна система, прозрачно и отговорно правителство и свободни медии. Също така подкрепяме правото на хората да изразяват свободно своето мнение, което включва правото на мирен протест", пише в документа.
"Обезпокоени сме от съпротивата срещу реформа на съдебната система, която проявяват ред политически партии, главната прокуратура и органите на сигурността. Имайки това предвид, ние вярваме, че българите в чужбина биха могли да бъдат особено полезни, като предоставят независимо експертно мнение относно процеса на реформа в страната. Не представляваме която и да е политическа партия или други интереси. Твърдо вярваме, че когато хората са обединени от правилната цел, те ще намерят начин да я постигнат. За една по-добра България!", се казва в писмото, цитирано от в. "Сега".
Учените призовават също да не се допуска насилие от страна на полицията срещу мирни демонстранти и журналисти. Призивът идва след няколко ескалации на напрежението по време на антиправителствените демонстрации.
ФрогНюз припомня, че в деня на първото Велико народно въстание имаше сериозни сблъсъци, а миналата седмица майки от “Системата ни убива” бяха извлечени насилствено от сградата на бившия Партиен дом, където в момента се помещава парламента.
"България е правова държава, която трябва да спазва закона, своята конституция и задълженията си по международното право, включително зачитането на основните човешки права", категорични са авторите на писмото.
